Last Wednesday the University of Melbourne welcomed its first intake of new faces onto campus during Academic Advice day. Keen, determined and nervous commerce students gathered at the Spot building to get their first taste of their university course, many only starting their tertiary education and some others continuing on their studious endeavours. On display were the numerous clubs and societies, strongly interested in registering the fresh and intelligent minds on the day. ESSA was particularly proud to witness the eager new faces expressing their interest in economics from their past studies or simply out of their curiosity of the field. As a committee member, it was great interacting with the new bright minds of the university all of whom ESSA without a doubt are proud to have as members in 2013.
Once again, we would like to welcome all new students and we look forward to seeing many of these new faces during O-week, at our events and throughout the year. We are equally as excited to start our second year with a bang and hope to see even more people joining in the discussion!
