The Economics Student Society of Australia (ESSA) is committed to fostering a dynamic community where students can connect, learn, and grow in the field of economics. Our primary goal is to provide our members with the tools and experiences needed to succeed in their academic journeys and future careers.
As an ESSA member, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of events designed to enhance both your academic knowledge and professional development. These include industry talks, interactive workshops, and networking events with top firms and professionals in economics. Members are encouraged to engage in activities that challenge their critical thinking and expand their understanding of real-world economic issues. From hands-on case competitions to insights into the latest economic trends, ESSA helps students apply theory to practice.
ESSA also opens annual recruitment for our Subcommittee, with applications for the 2025 Subcommittee launching late February to early March 2025. If you’re a driven student seeking to develop your leadership and teamwork skills, our Subcommittee is the perfect opportunity. As a member of the committee, you’ll not only gain hands-on experience in event management and team coordination but also forge lasting connections with like-minded peers and professionals, ultimately setting you up for success in both academia and your future career.
